What I wore in Jamaica

Zara dress / similar

Back in March, my friend and I decided we needed a break from Chicago’s frigid temperatures and the monotony of work life, so we headed off to Montego Bay, Jamaica for the first time. While, we are both avid travelers and love to venture out and explore, we only had four days which felt incredibly short as soon as we saw the gorgeous sandy beaches. We made a conscious decision to just chill and get some much needed relaxation in our all inclusive resort. If you are looking for some beach outfit inspiration or just need some help deciding if Jamaica is the next location for you, you’re in the right place. Without further ado, here’s what I wore in Jamaica.

The feather dress

For a little pizzazz, a feathered pieces is the perfect choice for a dressed up moment. This is perfect for a special dinner, a fancy night out, or just because. Naturally, they also photograph incredibly well on camera, that is, if a photoshoot is on the itinerary.

Swimsuits to pack for your beach vacay

Statement swimsuit

What’s a beach vacay without the perfect head turning swimsuit. This piece is an oldie and a favorite from Zara. I have linked other pieces below.

The two piece

Two pieces that double up as cover ups are part of my beach wardrobe essentials. They easily transition from breakfast at the restaurant, to laying out on the beach without having to run back to your room.

Maxi dresses to pack on your next trip

Maxi dress

I also always pack a maxi dress for my beach vacations. They are so easy to throw on for dinners and for long strolls through town.

Something green

Jamaica’s colors are yellow, green and black. It may sound cliche but I knew I wanted to wear all of those colors, but not all at once. This dress ribbed maxi dress was love at first sight and I snagged it right away.

Hope you loved reading all about what I wore in Jamaica. Other than Mexico, I haven’t to lot of islands but this was definitely one of best beaches I’ve been to!
