Animal Instint: How to wear leopard on leopard

Like most fashion lovers and fashionistas, I am in love with leopard prints this season. They are so on trend and honestly very easy to pull off, so don’t get intimated. They can be worn in the same way as you would wear a neutral piece (like black or nude) or can be worn as a statement piece. The trick is in deciding which piece to select.

For a statement piece, think ‘center of attention’ like a coat or a dress; while accessories like shoes and a bag would act as a “neutral” to pull together an entire look.

It gets more interesting when you want to wear two different leopard pieces together in one outfit. This is not for the weak of heart, but can definitely be pulled off.

I recommend selecting one statement piece, and another piece that would act as a neutral, aka accessory.  In this post, my dress was the statement pieces whilst the shoes were the “neutral” piece.

Incorporate at least one neutral shade, like a black or brown that would pull the two leopard pieces together.

Keep the jewelry to a minimum

Avoid any other bold colors. Let the leopard do all the talking.

These tips could also apply to other animal prints like snake print, tiger, giraffe or zebra. Most especially, have fun with it!
